THE STORY

Growing up in the Adelaide Hills, my fascination with aquatic life started right in our backyard, watching goldfish swim in a small outdoor pond. That simple childhood wonder evolved into a lifelong passion for creating and maintaining thriving underwater worlds.

My professional life has taken me across some of the most varied, rugged, and remote regions of Australia. As an exploration geology assistant, I've spent years adapting to distinct landscapes and environments—from goldfield exploration in the tropical heat of Far North Queensland to remote drill operations across South Australia, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory. Adapting to harsh outback conditions, managing precise sample data, and maintaining environmental safety across these diverse locations required flexibility, sharp problem-solving, and strict technical discipline.

Alongside my exploration work, I've dedicated over four years to fire services—starting as a volunteer firefighter in the Adelaide Hills and now working full-time as a firefighter out at Moomba. Moving between high-pressure emergency response in isolated desert hubs and hands-on field work in remote wilderness taught me how to control variables, manage equipment, and keep ecosystems stable under any conditions.
